What are the main activities of the ETEPS network?
ETEPS projects are targeted at European Union decision-making processes and aim at providing support and advice in prospective Science and Technology matters. They address specific subjects that have clear European policy relevance. Main clients are the European Commission or the European Parliament.The main objective is the analysis of information particularly in the form of trans-national and cross-sectoral comparison. The projects can be of a different nature:
- Anticipation/prospective analysis, intended to act as a trigger for in-depth projects of European future-oriented nature, aiming at the identification and description of trends rather than static situations;
- Direct support of policies in preparation (ex-ante analysis); and
- Direct support of policies in action (ex-post analysis, anticipating future developments).

Nevertheless, only the most qualified organisations are selected for the execution of the projects (in terms of quality, experience in the required topic and client needs) in an open and transparent way, in order to provide outstanding products for its target group.
