Abstract:

The objective of this short-term project is to contribute to the expansion of the ERAWATCH knowledgebase from its “prototyping phase” to its operational phase. The project will explore whether some of the specific perspectives developed during the “Prototyping Phase” of ERAWATCH are relevant in the 14 EU Member States that have not been covered so far within the ERAWATCH action.

The specific perspectives refer to the following 7 topics:

  • Policy concepts;
  • Policy organisation and structure;
  • Policy coordination;
  • Policy priorities;
  • Strategy development and documentation;
  • ‘Europeanisation’ of research: cross-border research initiatives, ERA-NET activities, actions
  • relevant to the Lisbon agenda;
  • Public sector funding trends (-Public expenditure on RTD (GOVERD); -major agencies and budget trends).

The 14 draft Country Reports have been presented at the workshop in Seville on 13 and 14 October. The reports will be finalised according to the results of the workshop and the work of peer reviewers and ETEPS Scientific Steering Committee caring for quality control of ETEPS work.
